We were delighted to welcome a varied bunch of new attendees at the February 2014 meeting.

Commercial solicitory Philip Deja works for Highgate-based Streathers Solicitors. Andrew Tsai started his IT support firm in January, after 10 years’ experience in technical support, web design and social media management.

Michael Martin’s services at A M Accountants in Highgate include helping people decide if they want to become a sole trader or limited company, while Karen Tidsall specialises in business consultancy, helping small businesses to create business plans, pitch for new business in a competitive marketplace, and grow their companies.

Natalie Roth offers  life coaching and therapy, including reflexology, Indian head massage, reiki and nutritional advice.

In all, around 16 people came to the meeting, including North London IT guru David Roth, who set up a new email system to help small businesses manage their emails most efficiently. Other regular members at the meeting included Sarah Montgomery, who sells Forever’s aloe vera products and is looking for people who would like to join her at Forever; Johanna Green,  personal trainer;  Rina Patel, a family lawyer at Karina Leapman Solicitors; nutritional therapist Ella Owen;  Amber White, who runs reflexology, massage and other health therapy sessions; Andy Weigelt, financial adviser; Marcia MacLeod, journalist and copywriter, whose magazine, Your Allotment, which covers growing-your-own in north London, is increasing in size; Debby Sass, cake-maker extraordinaire; and, of course Liz Bygrave, founder of Small Business Network who also runs Sweet Sensations, which makes natural chocolates and gives workshops so that chocaholics can learn to make their own dairy and sugar free goodies.

The next meeting is on the fourth Monday in April, the 28th, rather than the third, which is Easter Monday.
